Some foods are best to stay in a room temperature, instead of being refrigerated. It doesn’t only destroy the flavor but also reduces their nutritional value.
Avocados
Avocados will stop ripening completely in the refrigerator.
Bananas
Bananas will go black if you put them in refrigerator and it affects the flavor
Bread
Refrigeration causes the bread to dry out quickly and it actually turn stale faster.
Coffee
Coffee beans and ground easily absorb moisture from the area, and cause a buildup of condensation which reduces aroma and flavor of the coffee. Coffee may absorb on the odor of other food in the refrigerator. It’s best in an airtight container.
Garlic
The cold temperature causes mold to develop and start deteriorating. It reduces the consistency and flavor of garlic.
Herbs
Herbs in a refrigerator wilt faster. To keep them fresh and crisp, you could just put them in a water-filled container in your kitchen.

Tomatoes lose their flavor and texture when refrigerated. Cold temperature stops the ripening process and you will get mushy tomato. But if you find that they’re getting over ripe, you put them in a refrigerator to last for a day or two.

 Refrigerating water melons will reduce their antioxidants. They have more antioxidants when stored in a room temperature.
