Looking on this beautiful and elegant jelly cake is like you don’t want to eat them, instead, you only want to use them as decorative one. ‘
You need:
- transparent round bowl
- strainer
- 3D Jelly Cake Tools
- syringe
Ingredients needed:
- 10g jelly powder
- 500ml water
- 200g sugar
- food coloring (any color)
- 1L coconut juice
- 3ml lemon juice (or citric acid); to make a transparent jelly mixture
Step 1: Make Clear Jelly
Place the water and coconut juice into a pot with medium heat. Mix jelly powder and sugar together; stir well. When the water is hot (not boiling), sprinkle the jelly mixture gradually into the pot and stir until dissolved. When it starts boiling, turn off the heat and continue stirring while it is cooling to ensure the bubbles disappear. Take out excess bubbles. Add lemon juice.
Using the strainer, pour the mixture into the bowl. Set for an hour.
Step 2: Mix color
Ingredients:
300ml milk 1.2g jelly powder
45g sugar food color
Pour milk into a pot with medium heat. Mix the sugar and jelly powder together, then, sprinkle into the hot milk (don’t boil). Stir them until dissolved and boiled. Pour into 2 cups, then, add your preferred colors to each cup.
Boil water into a pan and put the 2 cups to keep warm and dissolve the jelly mixture.
Step 3: Make Flower
Use a spoon (Jelly Cake Tools) and syringe to create flowers.
Note: When the syringe get stuck, use warm water to melt the jelly.
For Pistil: Find the center point; fill the jelly into syringe and inject into the clear jelly (one drop and go out). Continue injecting in different angles until you make a pistil
For The Petals: Fill the syringe with jelly and inject it following the pistil. Continue filling until you finish the first layer.
For The Leaves: Fill the jelly into the syringe and inject it following the petals.
